The University Interscholastic League, more commonly known as UIL, officially released the reclassification and alignments for the upcoming 2018-2019 / 2019-2020 athletic school years this morning. Only three sports were included in today’s alignments – Football, Volleyball and Basketball. After much anticipation, here are our Bobcat match-ups for the next two years:

Celina ISD Football has been placed in 4A Division I District 7 Region II and will face off against Anna, Argyle, Melissa, Paris, Paris North Lamar, and Sanger.

Basketball and Volleyball will both be competing in 4A District 11 and will go up against Anna, Aubrey, Gainesville, Melissa, and Sanger to qualify to the Region II tournament, which holds District 9-16.

All other sports are currently said to remain in their current district status.

In the state standings, Celina Football is currently ranked 178, Volleyball is ranked 182, and Basketball is sitting at 352. Celina High School has a current enrollment of 792 students and will continue to be ranked in 4A for the next two years.
