Bluewood…A Place to Spread Your Wings

We Are Celina!

CELINA Magazine is the only publication that distributes 10,000+ copies to households and businesses in Celina and surrounding areas. CELINA Magazine caters to its educated, family oriented, high net worth readers who have a passion for living well. Each issue focuses on Health, Education, Lifestyle, Community Events and businesses, making it the premiere publication in the Celina area.

Celina’s newest residential community is celebrating its Grand Opening this weekend, from Friday, February 9 – Sunday, February 11. Bluewood, a Hillwood Communities development, is located within the Celina school district and is conveniently located just west of Preston off Ownsby Parkway. Full of unexpected amenities like walkable neighborhoods, a resort style pool, abundant green spaces and on-site Donny O’Dell Elementary, Bluewood is a community without compromise.

The Bluewood neighborhood is energetic and vibrant. It was developed with the residents in mind…and perfect for families with little ones! It features miles and miles of hike and bike trails, tree-lined streets and access to greenways and parks. The resort style pool was created to allow you to be fully immersed in the energy and activity without having to be fully immersed in the water. The contemporary design of the pool includes broad, shallow ledges created especially for low-profile deck chairs. There are also relaxing cabanas for unwinding in the shade.

Bluewood features home builders such as Meritage Homes, M/I Homes, D.R. Horton and CalAtlantic Homes – with prices starting in the mid $200s. Each builder offers their own distinctive collection of floorplans and amenities to fit your lifestyle. They offer ready to move in homes and built to suit options. All of the model homes are open and accessible during the Grand Opening celebration – stop by and check them out!

The Bluewood HOA dues are $550 per year and cover the maintenance cost of the common areas, amenities and parks. The City of Celina provides water, sewer, waste management, police and fire protection. Bluewood is located in a PID (Public Improvement District), which is a special tool used by cities to fund the public infrastructure that specifically benefits the property within the PID.
